Benefits of a Thermal Drone for Deer Recoveries

Non-Intrusive

Search's are conducted from 300-400 feet about ground level. This ensures that neither wildlife nor neighbors are disturbed during the search. No need to blow out the hunting area by searching on foot.

Neighbors

We can search for your trophy even if he crossed property lines. If your trophy is located on a neighboring property, we can provide an exact GPS coordinate so you can work with the neighbor to retrieve your trophy. This provides a significant advantage over asking if you can search for your animal without knowing where or even if that animal is on that property.

Fast and Efficient

We can cover a lot of ground very quickly with the drone. This helps to expand the search area and quickly rule out big section of property. We grid search from the air, so no need put in the miles on the ground.

Dead or Alive

The drone provides a unique opportunity to find game that is still alive. A significant number of shots that look fatal do not end up being fatal. Typically, this leave the hunter with more questions than answers. We can locate these wounded animals which helps the hunter make an informed decision on how to proceed.

Milage is billed at $1.00 per mile beyond a round trip of 60 miles from office in Stewartsville, MO.

If trophy is located still alive, a first return trip to relocate the animal is complementary. Milage fees still apply. All subsequent trips are billed at $100 plus milage.

Each search is unique. I'd like to talk about the details including the type of hit, type of weapon used, reaction after the shot, what actions have you taken to track the animal, terrain, cover, location and several other important factors. Once I have the details, I will be able to better understand if a Thermal Drone is the right tool for your search.

Drones vs. Dogs

While Thermal Drones provide a significant advantage in locating your trophy, there are times where they may not be the best options. There is a time and place for both the use of a Thermal Drone and a Blood Tracking Dog. Here is when one option is better than the other:
